Not even the Campanola luxury line could invade that; it is solely the Signature Collection that has made luxury and craftsmanship available at a fraction of the price without compromising on essentials. However, the biggest USP for the Signature series is they all are hand assembled and the anti-reflective sapphire glass and 100m water resistance are just standard items.
For men, there are 22 different models to choose from 5 different categories: Grand Complication, Moon-Phase Flyback Chronographs, Flyback Chronographs, Perpetual Calendar and the Octavia Diamond Series. For women, there is the Quattro Diamond series; it gives 9 Models) different models to choose from.
So, the obvious question is: “Which are the best?” That’s difficult to answer, for each and every Citizen Signature model is an incredible timepiece wit their own plus points and plushness.
However, before you shell out the money, here’s something you need to know.
The Signature models are not exactly the flybacks as they claim to be. Citizen doesn’t do it that way. Provided it’s their 3rd year into the market, Citizen should rectify this minor flaw and upgrade the normal stopwatch thing to flyback. It is a cut-short version of a rattrapante or split-second chrono; the measuring hand flying to zero and restarting without a pause. That’s one hand doing the job of two.
Now, to the good points. Though given a position under the Campanola-s, in the US, UK and the Caribbean markets, they feature designs, fits and finishes that are better integrated and superior even to other Citizen products. The only complain one might make is on the Grand Complication; despite being the most interesting caliber among the Signature-s, it is more on the thicker side and the chiming, repeater complication to blame. That is, if you want to. Else, it will stay the highly finished, cutting edge in quartz timekeeping for many more decades to come.
