Build quality is superb, not the typical folded link bracelet most Seiko’s come with, this one is solid stainless steel, and wears great. The case and bracelet integrate nicely, and although this is a pretty heafty chunk of stainless steel it is really comfortable, even on skinny wrists. The dark blue dial is big and the white hands stand out in bold relieve – easy to read, even for old eyes. Kinetic movement is pretty nice; don’t have to worry about changing the battery for a long time or maybe forever. It is a thick and heavy watch, but it looks really good.

The stainless steel case construction of the Seiko watch, 45 mm in diameter, has incorporated a screw-down crown and case-back. The timepiece goes on a stainless steel bracelet provided with dive extension or on a rubber strap. The case and bracelet feature brushed flat surfaces and mirrored bevels. The watch boasts 200-meter water-resistance. The bezel of the Seiko Kinetic Dive, with easy-to-read font and printing and every-minute markings has roughly-finished triangular teeth for easy grasping and rotating. The blue face of the watch is protected by Hardlex sapphire crystal. The notably readable dial shows off high-contrast white hands. The distinctively-shaped hands, bezel dot, and indices are covered with Lumibrite, the brand’s remarkably bright luminescent paint, to guarantee perfect nighttime readability. The hour markers are accentuated by subtle reflective circles of metal. The date window is found at 3 o’clock; the date may be quickly set or changed. You will notice a blue highlight band on the crown echoing the cheerful color of the dial. The Seiko watch is equipped with a Kinetic quartz movement. When the watch is worn on the wrist, the rotor spins generating a small voltage to be stored in a rechargeable battery. As the majority of quartz movements, it offers +/- 15-seconds-per-month accuracy. The power reserve button at 2 o’clock allows to quickly checking the battery level. The Seiko watch provides a six-month power reserve if not on the wrist, and warns its owner about the low-battery. The bracelet of the Seiko Kinetic Dive watch is created to guarantee extreme comfort of wearing. It is fitted with a slip-lock wetsuit extension, as well as four micro-adjustments for fine-tuning. The bracelet features solid links and end-links, a pushbutton release with flip lock, not to mention a nice combination of finishes.

  1. Nice info. I’m trying to find information on how to remove this watch’s wrist band so I can try on a Nato nylon strap to reduce the weight, but I can’t find any information about this particular watch’s wrist band. It is not the same type as your typical wrist watch band that i can remove easily with a watch tool. Do you have information on this?
