Seiko has unleashed real beauties in its new Sportura watches. With a 7T85 calibre, double retrograde 5 hour chronograph these beauties work great too! Before I talk about them, take a look at the pictures:

Wow! What do you think? What strikes you the most? Let me guess, its the dial! I think the finish is striking and Seiko has hit the nail with this one.  As you can see the SPC039 comes in 2 variations – the SPC039P1 with the solid stainless steel bracelet and the SPC039P2 with the genuine leather bracelet. The coolest feature of the 7T85 chronograph is the double retrograde dials which can measure up to 5 hours at a great accuracy of 1/5th of a second.  At the 12 o’clock position is the 10 minute dial and at the 6 o’clock position is the 100 minute dial. The minute hand on the upper dial advances until 10 minutes have elapsed. It then automatically re-starts and the lower dial hand moves by one position to indicate that 10 minutes have elapsed. After 5 hours the chronograph just restarts so technically so you can use it for much longer (just that you have to remember approximately what time did you start it so that you can know how many 5 hours it has done.)

I will have some more closeup pics and wrist shots next time. Hold on till then if you can, maybe you want to browse our other Seiko Sportura watches meanwhile.
