This watch is equipped with numerous functions including a minute repeater function (chime function) that informs you of the time with an electronic tone. Perpetual calendar of this watch automatically corrects the date, including leap years. The daily alarm of this watch sounds the alarm at the time you set every day. It’s local time function displays the time in a region or foreign country located in a different time zone. Local alarm that sounds an alarm tone at the set time every day based on the time in the region or foreign country set in the local time mode. BL900-83E is also equipped with a photoelectric power generation function that drives the watch by containing a solar cell in its face that converts light energy into electrical energy. Timekeeping accuracy of this watch is ±15 seconds per month on average at normal temperatures of +5°C to 35°C / 41°F to 95°F. The operating temperature range is -10°C to +60°C / 14°F to 140°F.

In addition to this, the watch has additional important features and function. Minute repeater function indicates the current time with an electronic tone. Seconds correction function aligns the seconds of the main dial and sub dial with the seconds of a standard clock. Perpetual calendar: Year, month and date are switched automatically through February 28, 2100 including leap years. Reference position setting warning function indicates that the reference position has not been set with the date & mode hand. This watch has Time setting warning function, i.e., Date & mode hand indicates that the times on the sub dial and main dial have not been aligned after setting the reference position. Reference position check function Checks the reference positions of the date & mode hand, sub dial hour hand, sub dial minute hand and AM/PM hand. Insufficient charge warning functions of this watch indicates that the watch is insufficiently charged by causing the second hand to switch to 2-second interval movement. The watch stops due to being insufficiently charged after about 5 days have passed since the start of 2-second interval movement. The watch will continue to operate for about 9 months without additional charging once it has been fully charged. Overcharge prevention function: When the secondary battery becomes fully charged as result of light shining into the solar cell, the overcharge prevention function is activated automatically to prevent the battery from being charged further. This prevents charging from having an effect on the secondary battery, timekeeping accuracy, functions or performance of the watch no matter how much the watch is charged. This watch has sub dials for local time hour, minute and AM/PM. This watch also displays the date with year, month.
