This Seiko Men’s watch belongs to Seiko’s Automatic 5 collection. This watch was specifically designed to suit the needs of professional divers. This watch looks good in the office, on the beach, or in between. This watch is really a is a technological wonder.  This Seiko Automatic sports watch combines the styling and shape of Seiko’s new and old to give a watch that is certainly different – rugged looking and substantial yet not too large as to make wearing it uncomfortable. This rugged all steel sport watch from Seiko powers itself with the natural motion of your wrist and does not require a battery. The large 45 mm solid steel case highlights a black dial offering three-hand movement with luminous yellow hands and luminous Arabic numerals for optimal nighttime visibility. This watch also features day and date display, with the day in red, and a compass dial ring. The dial is capped with a scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal and framed by a black bezel with Arabic numerals and attractive coin edge detailing. Textured steel crowns, at 4 and 9 o’clock, are shielded by imposing crown protectors, and a solid links steel bracelet completes the look, fastening with a double locking fold over clasp. This Seiko watch is rated water resistant to 200 meters.

The stainless steel bracelet of this Seiko Automatic Men’s watch is beautifully machined with brushed satin and polished sections; solid links held together with push-pins. It attaches to the watch head with no gaps as if it were cast in place. It is far more attractive, expensive looking and comfortable than the bracelet on any other Seiko diver.

This Seiko Automatic Sports Watch has some Arabic numbers instead of markers and the lume is very good in the dark. The black face with the contrasting yellow hands looks real sharp. The calendar display is large enough to be seen without the usually useless Cyclops magnifier found on many diver watches. It has the look of rugged precision equipment. The bezel rotates smoothly in one direction with multiple clicks yet it’s firm enough that it won’t be shifted accidentally. The screw-down stem at 4 should be a little bigger to make it easier to change the time. The stainless steel has a satin finish in some sections, brushed in others and mirror polish in the back – a real quality job. Seiko deserves credit for making affordable automatic watches.
