The most notable difference between the original and the reissue is the jewelled, metal movement and the individual stepper motors in it to drive each hand separately. A classic timepiece and a classic piece of sci-fi tech, it is also the first analog and fully quartz chronograph ever created, so that gives you another point to own it apart from the movie exposure.

Excellent service from Creation Watches. Purchase online was easy with no issues, and the watch arrived safely. Delivery was a little longer than the stated 4 days but only because it was held in customs for a short time. Being able to track the order status is a great feature.

This is a wonderful reissue watch from Seiko. It works great and looks stylish as you would expect being designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (voted Car Designer of the 20th Century by the Global Automotive Elections Foundation). He deigned cars such as the Lotus Esprit S1 and the DeLorean DMC-12. This watch (albeit with a different colour scheme) was worn by the character of Ripley in the movie Aliens. Five stars.
