A Citizen AP1001-19E is an Eco drive moon phase watch. It is a solar power watch. This Citizen ecodrive watch equipped with a solar cell in the watch dial which converts light energy into electrical energy to power the watch. The three dimensional dial of this watch looks very good and it is deeply textured for a rich and graceful appearance. The applied numbers mount above the dial. The date hand is curved with a unique sunburst pointer at the end that points to each numerical date. Even the moon phase dial shows the 29 and 1/2 day rotation periods. This ecodrive watch has a water resistant of 100 meter. The mineral glass crystal of this watch is gently curved and it is very scratch resistant and coated with a special non-reflective coating for perfect visibility. There is a luminous hands and minute hands. The dial of this watch is black and its strap is made up of black leather. Its caliber is 8651.
This men’s watch also has Insufficient Charge Warning function i.e. when the watch becomes insufficiently charged; the second hand begins 2-second interval movement to indicate that the watch is insufficiently charged. This Citizen eco watch features overcharging prevention function. When the secondary battery becomes fully charged as a result of exposing the watch dial (solar cell) to light, the overcharging prevention feature is activated automatically to prevent the battery from being charged further. Consequently, there is no degradation in the performance of the solar cell or secondary battery no matter how often the watch is charged. This lets you expose the watch to light without worrying about overcharging. Operating temperature range is -10°C to +60°C/14°F to 140°F. This watch is a multi-hand watch that displays the date, day and month using hands of the watch.
