With its G-Shock watches, Casio hit the jacktop in digital watches back in the 70s. The G-Shock series instantly catapultaed Casio to fame and fortune in the watch world. The basic premise of the G-Shock watches : strong, accurate, easy to read watches at very affordable prices resulted in almost cult-like following. And G-Shocks still have that appeal. Casio continues to improve on the range in terms of looks, functionality, material while keeping its promise of affordability. Casio Baby-G watches are made with the fairer sex and kids/teenagers in mind. Casio advertizes and sells them for women, but I think they make great watches for kids and teenagers as well. Especially for kids who have a knack to put their hands everywhere they have a chance to get dirty, and who tend to break most things in no-time, the G-Shock build of Baby-g watches is ideal. They will have to be really a genius to damage a G-Shock, and if they do, you will only be happy to have a genuis son/daugther. So its win-win for you :-).
