Seiko has finally made a Kinetic dive watch available in the popular black face and black stainless steel bracelet combination. Seiko Kinetic technology is great for dive watches because you never need to change a battery which normally requires sending a dive watch in for service. It’s the best of both worlds, combining the accuracy of a high-quality Seiko Quartz movement with an unlimited power source – the movement of your wrist. It should work well in the field or in ocean. Movement of the weight charges a battery, which then powers the watch. As a result, time remains accurate up to the bitter end.

It is an analogue quartz watch equipped with the Kinetic technology developed by SEIKO. It generates the electric energy to power the watch, utilizing the movement of your body, and stores it in the rechargeable battery, which requires no periodical replacement unlike conventional button-type batteries. This is a quality, rugged and elegant piece. It is so resilient, that in spite of bumping it around – it has not one scratch! The bezel moves like silk, and the fact that it’s kinetic adds to the cool factor. It also has a black dial background with large, luminous dial markers and luminous hands and a date function at 3 o’clock. Dive into adventure with the Seiko Kinetic 200m Men’s diving watch, featuring a high-performance black stainless steel case, a durable black ion coated bracelet, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet). The crown is easy to grasp and turn, yet it screws down to prevent accidental time changes. The substantial case-back is slightly curved to fit on the wrist better and is pretty thick – the mineral crystal is too. The kinetic movement feels neat moving back and forth and keeps good time. The “teeth” on the outer edge of bezel are large and easy to grip. It has very handsome face as the circular lumes on the hours have some depth and appear to be a bit domed and surrounded by a chrome ring. Clasp has the push down lock with three fold and also the squeeze button secondary lock to release.  Skeleton hands with lume along the entire length and they were very prominent. Power reserves for 6 month when the watch is fully charged.
