At the 12 o’clock position is the 10 minute dial and at the 6 o’clock position is the 100 minute dial. The minute hand on the upper dial advances until 10 minutes have elapsed. It then automatically re-starts and the lower dial hand moves by one position to indicate that 10 minutes have elapsed. Up to 5 hours can be measured, all to increments of 1/5th second.
