And you thought it was only Citizen that had mastered the art (i say art, because the technology is pretty common) of Solar watches with their eco-drive series of watches! Seiko has a few as well, though their focus is more on their Kinetic technology. It sure does look like a Premier. And even better – it functions really awesome too. It charges by sunlight (should be pretty obvious by now), and has a awesome 6 month power reserve. The world time feature (on the dial) comes in handy when travelling (even when you’re not. How many times you really really wanted to know what time is it right now in Bangkok and were clueless?? well, not many probably but you get the idea…)
The star attraction amongst the features is the radio controlled i.e. atomic timer. This means the watch receives signals from the highly accurate (it doesnt get more accurate than this) atomic clocks in Europe, USA and Japan, and adjust its time accordingly. So it always shows time correct to the second! How cool is that? So next time you have to save the world by defusing a rouge atomic weapon and have to do it by exactly 5’00’00 pm, you will know exactly how long you have (and whether you have time for that delicious cup of mocha before you get to business).
