Seiko Divers watch makes a bold statement with its intricate detail and design, personifying a gallant structure. The face is beautiful. The band is thick and rugged. The luminescence stays for hours into the dark. The automatic second hand sweep is graceful and solid. The case is un-brushed steel, substantial in weight, and heavy-duty like industrial strength machinery. The top of the lugs are brushed steel and the contrast only enhances the watch’s natural good looks. The screw-down crown is BIG and has deep grooves, which makes it easy to screw and unscrew.

This Seiko diver’s timepiece features a 42-millimeter, stainless steel case and a textured black rubber band that includes a steadfast buckle clasp. Powered by Japanese automatic movement, this watch is water resistant up to 660 feet. The unidirectional, stainless steel bezel features Arabic numerals and indexes for extra readability, and a convenient day-and-date calendar rests at the three o’clock position. Encased in a hardlex window for added durability. It looks sharp, and definitely fills the need for a Diver watch and it holds up underwater at a diving depth. Seiko Hardlex crystal, while tougher than regular glass or acrylic found in high end watches. The 7S26 movement can’t be hacked or hand wound. It is a real diver watch as well with an easily gripped screw-down crown and a two-hundred meter depth rating. The lume is very bright and long lasting. The automatic seiko watch face appears deeply recessed below the height of the bezel and the hands are large and very wide. The effect makes the watch look very thick and solid. Then there is the black bezel. It has a very pronounced, scalloped bezel with circular graining that is protected by an equally pronounced bezel-guard that extends upwards from the lugs. The bezel guard extends into the crown guard to the location of the crown at the 4 o’clock position. This crown position is more comfortable for such a large watch and is a bit of a trademark with Seiko Diver’s through the decades. The shape of the hands and case and the depth of the dial are very appealing. For the money, you can’t go wrong with a Seiko Diver. It is very well made, looks great and should last for many years of hard use.
