Citizen presents the Retrograde Eco Drive, a Dual time watch. Citizen’s famed Eco-Drive movement is powered by light and never needs a battery change (once fully charged by light, the watch will work for upwards of 6 months in the dark). At 12 o’clock is a bigger date window which can be easily visible by naked eyes. A unique model with a big date and a retrograde 24-hour hand has entered the stage. Retrograde Dual Time, it can tell the times of 2 countries at the same time. At 6 o’clock second time zone is displaying. At 9 o’clock there is a subdial for permanent second hand disc.
This citizen watch is powered not by an ordinary battery, but by converting photo energy to electrical energy. A secondary battery is used in this watch to store electrical energy. This secondary battery is a clean energy battery. This citizen eco watch allows the hour hand only to be corrected independently without stopping the watch. It can be used as a dual time watch by setting the 24 hour hand and hour hand to different times. After correcting the time, the hour hand is used to indicate the “local time hours”. The second hand changes to a two second interval movement to indicate insufficient recharging. Once the secondary battery is fully recharged, the overcharging prevention feature comes into operation and prevents over-recharging. A unique model with a big date and a retrograde 24-hour hand has entered the stage. It can tell the times of 2 cities at the same time. The rotating bezel contains the names of 23 cities arranged in order by time difference. Using this bezel makes it possible to read the times in major cities (23) around the world. Read the time of another city by using the “24 hour scale” as a reference. The 24-hour hand enables the setting of the time for another time zone. The 24-hour time setting can be made in 1-hour increments to enable use of the dual time function. This watch is provided with a function that causes a warning function to be activated when the watch is sufficiently charged that alters the display to inform the wearer of insufficient charge. When it is fully charged it reserves it for 6 months. It also features a durable, hardened Sapphire crystal, brushed stainless steel case with diameter as 42mm and thickness as 10mm and bracelet, and Citizen Eco Drive logo on a bold black dial. The crown at 2 o’clock is for rotating the bezel.
