Seiko Automatic Premier
Seiko as a brand is known for its style and innovative ways of creating the wrist watches. These watches are made to fit into people’s everyday life in order to function conveniently while still being attractive. The Seiko Premier collection combines classically refined inspiration with subtly modern expression. Premier has established itself as Seiko's leading dress watch collection. The Premier design is inspired by the eternal beauty of neo-classical architecture. Each Premier case has the solidity and grace of a Palladian villa and each dial has a depth of sculpted detailing that draws its inspiration from the architraves of a Greek temple. However, these classical features are also expressed with a modern flair. Premier is classical yet modern, reverential yet bold, restrained yet eye-catching. The highlight of the Seiko 2006 Premier introduction is the series with the newest Seiko automatic movement 6R20. One particular Seiko Premier model epitomizes the concept behind the collection: the dial shows a thin grid of squares, white lines on black surface. This grid forms the platform with which the rest of the elements – the hands, the numerals, the subdials, and the indices – interact. All combined, they present a poised arrangement that holds together in an effortless yet eye-catching composition. This collection is closest in its spirit to the classic Seiko 5 design. Some Seiko Premier Men's watches exhibit playful traits like two-tone stainless steel and some color on the dials, gents line tends to keep things formal. Ladies' line, however, goes for a more entertaining aesthetic: expressed, whimsical two-tone designs, accompanied by diamonds of various shapes, and mother-of-pearl on some parts of the dials. Some Seiko Premier ladies avoid clustering the faces and manifest clear fashionable attitudes. Both men's and ladies' lines employ straps and bracelets, the latter linked by bricks of metal in varying (elaborate) sequences. The majority of Seiko Premier watches feature trademark kinetic calibers (regular, chronograph and perpetual).
