Arctura has been the signature design for Seiko’s Kinetic technology. Arctura stands for strong, solid build quality and aerodynamic design inspired by the arc of nature, in rainbows or in the curvature of the earth, the arc is central to nature's plan and Arctura draws its strength from the eternal beauty of this shape.

Born in 1997 as the signature design for Seiko's unique Kinetic technology, Arctura was adventurous, sleek and breathtakingly bold. Eleven years later, Arctura is re-born. Still true to its heritage of audacious design, the new Arctura has an aerodynamic profile whose strength bears witness to the power of the movements within. No longer just Kinetic watches, the Arctura collection now comprises of Chronographs as well as Kinetic Chronographs, Kinetics and ladies Kinetic

The Arctura collection combine 100 metre Water Resistance, scratch resistant Sapphire Glass and solid Stainless Steel Cases and Bracelets with a leading edge Kinetic Movement, whether it be the new Kinetic Perpetual, the hand made Kinetic Chronograph, or the technologically advanced Kinetic Auto Relay. The original, bold design of Arctura is a unique example of Seiko’s Innovation and Refinement.

The Arctura line presents a very unique design for typically forward-thinking Seiko. Key to this line is Seiko’s kinetic quartz movement that generates power for the battery by the movement of your hand. This is done by using a rotor, as used in automatic mechanical watches. Although you might quibble with the actual functionality of the watch, it is hard to argue that Seiko has designed a provocative dial arrangement. The large 48-mm-wide steel case and bracelet are designed to go together, while chronograph pushers are well integrated into the case’s side.
